Guest Designers!

My name is Gabrielle Pollacco, and I was introduced to scrapbooking about 6 years ago and fell in love with this art form immediately. First and foremost, I love that I can keep a record of my family’s history in such a beautiful way. And who doesn’t love playing with all the new and beautiful products that keep coming on the market!! Hello, my name is Lynette Jacobs. I live in Port Elizabeth on the east coast of South Africa.  I have been married to Kobus for the past 30 years and we have three grown children.  We have also been blessed with four beautiful grandchildren…who are also the subject of most of my scrapping.

My husband and I founded a non-profit organization that provides for the needs of nearly 500 homeless and poor people whom we house at the Mission.  This work is very stressful and emotional and scrapbooking provides me with much needed stress-relief.  I started scrapbooking three years ago and was instantly hooked.  I love that my hobby can give me so much pleasure and at the same time create a legacy for my children and grandchildren.

I seldom do any off the page projects and prefer pages that can be slipped into my albums.  I am on no Design Teams and am honored to be guest designing here on your sketch site.

Hey everyone! My name is Laura Vegas. I live in sunny California with my husband of almost 10 years, Joe. And we have 2 gorgeous girls, Alyssa (12 years old) and Sarah (9 years old). Both are very busy girls with lots of activities going on, including their 6th year of soccer which is in full swing right now. I work full-time in my home as a Daycare Provider. The ages I care for range from newborns all the way up to 8 years old. One of the extra perks of my job, is that I have lots of different faces around to photograph and scrap! My girls and the daycare kiddos are the main focus of my scrapbook albums, but every once in a while I manage to work in a layout or two about myself. I have been scrapping for almost 13 years now, and in the past 2 years I have also been really focusing on improving my photography skills. My scrapbook style is very clean and linear, tons of fun and bright colors, and lots of details and embellishments. You’ll usually find 3-4 photos on my layouts, but I also love to use just one photo when it’s one I really love. My work has been published in various magazines and idea books such as PaperKuts, Creating Keepsakes, PaperCrafts, Scrapbooks Etc, Scrapbook Trends, Paper Trends, and Cards. I was chosen to be a part of the 2006 PaperKuts Power Team, have been on the Lil Davis Design Team, and am currently a member of the Making Memories Design Team and the Jillibean Soup Design Team.

We have two kids – Ashlee 15 and Mitchell 10.
I have a background in Visual Art and Interior Design – working both for myself and others over the years.I currently don’t go out to work – mainly because I don’t want to! this gives me more time to be there for my family; be at home; exercise; AND Scrapbook(all with a bit of shopping mixed in!).
